Idi Moussa

Idi Moussa works as the Director of Operations in West Africa for the foundation. In this role, he is responsible for the overall affairs of the foundation relating to its grant making, operations, and publications.

Prior to joining the Thomas Foundation, Idi worked for nearly 12 years as the Political Specialist at the U.S. Embassy in Niamey, Niger, where he was the in-house specialist on all political, social, and economic issues.  

Idi, a Fulbright scholarship grantee,  earned a masters degree from Indiana University’s School of Arts and Sciences and bachelor degrees from Clark Atlanta University and the University of Niamey . He speaks French, Hausa, and Fulani. In his spare time he enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.
