Background: Education For All (EFA) was established to help provide the opportunity of a secondary education for girls from the High Atlas mountain region in Morocco.
Description: EFA runs high quality boarding houses for girls between the ages of 12 and 18. All services are provided free of cost to the resident students.
Assessment: The Thomas Foundation grant will enable EFA to offer more students 3 nutritious meals a day, hot showers, comfortable accommodation, access to computers, study support via an international volunteer program and dedicated, local housemothers. A conducive living and learning environment enable students to thrive academically. With support from the Thomas Foundation, more EFA girls will exceed a 90% pass rate across all years and be successful in enrolling at university.
